That leaves a lot of time for a lot more adventures, twists and turns, and more than a few interesting little stories here and there I’m sure.. It’s all going to be worth it and I know I’m just going to love my little (OK, big) book when it’s done and I really hope I can create something that you’ll enjoy too!.So I guess make sure you stay tuned for the next “chapter” in this book-writing adventure!I’m not even exaggerating when I say we’ve been working on this project for like 2 years.

Actually it’s been almost exactly 2 years and one month..Funny story about that: When we first got the idea to put in this wall of cabinets in the back hall off of our master bedroom, little Jack was about 3 weeks old.Chris saw that they had a whole bunch of basic cabinetry in stock at our local Home Depot that he could just grab and toss in the back of his truck for about $100 per cabinet and I thought it was a great idea!.

But.. We’d just finished working on Jack’s nursery for the last year or so and I didn’t want to start on any big projects.So I said we could do it, but we really should just put the cabinets up, power through it, and be done in like 2 weeks.

Famous last words, of course.. Chris actually got the old shelving ripped  out and the new cabinets up in about 24 hours, which was an awesome start to the project.

But then it was all the little details like adding in the little wood countertop, trimming things out, and painting all the cabinets that feel like they took forever, as usual.So that’s how we’re trying to make back to school a little more FUN!.

Kennedy’s in equestrian camp all this week, so I’m getting a chance to get all my ducks in a row a little bit early.This is going to be a great year for both of us!There’s this big blank space on the wall between the two windows in Kennedy’s room that we’ve been sort of humming and hawing over for awhile.

I wanted to do something a little bit eye-catching, but not too crazy and still in keeping with her farm animal/horsey theme in her room.. Well, I was pinning around Pinterest the other day and I came across an idea from.This Thrifty House.
